I have been thinking about it for a long time, and I have decided to make my website an all English one. (Well, about 90% of it will be in English.)
Why, you ask? Well, that's very simple to explain! In my opinion, my whole country should start to learn English as a second language. Let the Walloon have their version of French as their first language and the Flemish people have their version of Dutch as theirs. And yes, the small German community in our country can have German as their first language.
However, if we all would learn to speak English as our second language, it would make it much easier for our children to communicate with each other in the future. Just think about it, the most-used language, even on our television, is English in our little country. So, it is a language we all come in contact with a lot. Even I, back in the day, learned a lot of my English from just watching TV.
So, why can't we all be smart and start learning a language that we even can use when we go abroad?! But hey, that's just my opinion about it, but this is why I will use English for my own website.
Now, for the website itself. As you can see, I still need to do a lot of work on it. During the coming months... years, I will be adding new stuff to it all the time, and I'm even going to incorporate things of my old website 'MovieFreakzā into it. I especially want to keep my DVD and Blu-ray release list on it, because I also use it a lot to keep track if the movies I want to buy.
And yes, I'm also going to keep my database of all the DVDs and Blu-rays on my website and start adding new tittles to it once it is online. Maybe I will even add a new version of my old 'MijnDVD' website to it, but that will depend on my visitors, mostly.
Another thing that I will add to the website is a new forum, so we all will have a place to exchange our thoughts with each other.
Other things will also be added to it, but I'm not sure yet what. It probably will depend on my interests in life. So, you can maybe expect some kind of manual about HTML and CSS on it as well. Web development is still a thing I like to do, after all. And maybe, I will add some more information to my Cisco part of the website as well.
Oh yeah, and before I forget to mention it. My website is built in HTML5 and CSS3. So, if you are an IE fan, you well need to have version 9 installed on your PC. However, if you have Windows XP on your computer, you will need to download the latest version of Firefox, because I won't support older browser versions on my website.
Thanks for visiting my website, and I hope to see you again when the more interactive parts of my website come on-line.
Best regards,
Rudy Mas
